MINI COOPER TEST DATA

This Graph shows that the rotor temperatures with cooling (green) were stabilized and stayed within a stable operating range. This graph also showed that the same rotor temperatures without cooling (red) continued to rise throughout the session. The 2003 MINI Cooper S, which had been modified with Alta air intake, pulley reduction, Milltek cat-back exhaust system, larger rear anti-sway bar, and Kuhmo V710 track tires. New 11.75 Willwood rotors and type B brake pads were installed on the day before the event and went through the proper bedding procedure. The brake system was flushed and bled using Motul 650 degree fluid. The ambient temperature at the test track was 75 Deg F. The test track was Gingerman Raceway in South Haven, MI. All temperatures were sensed using a Mikron MI-N500-N programmable infrared sensor.
